Isla de Filitheyo – La isla jamás habitada tenÃa un cementerio
La isla de Filitheyo, en el Atolón Faafu de Maldivas. Un pequeño paraÃso, hoy convertido en un resort de lujo, fue comprado como una isla jamás habitada, y de hecho, el estado de su ecosistema y su aspecto asà lo indicaban. Hacia fines de los 90, sólo predominaba una densa vegetación habitada por lagartos, murciélagos, cangrejos, y rodeado de un increÃble arrecife.
Lo curioso, es que al comenzar la construcción, los ingenieros se encontraron entre la maleza, con una cementerio de origen árabe y unas 30 lápidas en grupo en el interior de la isla.
El misterio aún no ha sido resuelto, pero hay algunas hipótesis como que piratas enterraran allà sus muertos o que solo es una operación de marketing para atraer turistas.
